In my work, I do not seek aesthetics, but presence. I believe that the creative process—from priming the linen myself with rabbit-skin glue, through multi-layered painting, to the painstaking embroidery—is a form of contemporary ritual. 

My art grows out of generational memory and also from living in multicultural society. 

I have strong conviction that in an age of digital distraction, returning to matter and mindful craftsmanship is one of the most effective remedies for a lack of purpose and fragmentation.
